This was the weekend of fog.  I hurried to catch a train to Segovia, where we arrived in sun to see the huge aqueduct.  By the time we had had lunch and wandered some more, the sun had begun to set: we arrived at the castle with less than an hour of real light left, meaning it looked absolutely beautiful.

Segovia is a walled city on a hill in the middle of a valley, so it gets ALL the fog.  The mist rose up like a storybook scene; we walked back to the bus stop along what is sometimes a beautiful view of the valley, but just then was only fog.  The chill was damp.

I was so happy.  We returned home still in fog (Valladolid is at the bottom of the valley), and today has been all misty.  It’s so beautiful, and apparently typical for the area.
